Privacy Policy
Effective Date: June 19, 2026
Welcome to Zombie SOS Survival ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when you play our game on zombiesos.com.
1. Information We Collect
We collect minimal data to ensure the game functions correctly and to provide a high-quality experience:
- Game Progress Data: We use browser Local Storage to save your game state, high scores, coins, skins, and settings. This data stays on your device and is not stored on our servers unless you use optional cloud save features.
- Technical Logs: Our hosting and analytics providers may automatically collect certain technical information such as your IP address (often anonymized), browser type, device type, operating system, and pages visited for security, performance, and troubleshooting purposes.
- Consent Data: We use a Consent Management Provider (CookieYes) to store your preferences regarding cookies, analytics, and advertising.
2. Analytics (Umami)
We use Umami Analytics (umami.is), a privacy-focused analytics service, to understand how many people play the game and which pages are visited.
- Umami collects anonymous usage data such as page URL, referrer, browser type, operating system, device type, and country (derived from IP; the IP itself is not stored).
- Umami does not use tracking cookies or local storage for visitor identification, and does not perform cross-site tracking.
- Umami analytics is loaded only after you give consent via our cookie banner (Analytics category), where required by law.
- Script source:
https://cloud.umami.is/script.js
3. Advertising and Sponsored Offers (Monetag)
Our game may display optional sponsored offers that reward in-game coins when you voluntarily visit a partner page. These offers are served through Monetag (monetag.com).
- Voluntary participation: You are never required to click an ad or sponsored link to play the game. Coin rewards are only granted when you choose to use the offer banner in the main menu.
- Third-party redirect: Clicking the offer opens a Monetag SmartLink (e.g.
omg10.com) in a new browser tab. That third-party page may set its own advertising or session cookies on Monetag partner domains.
- No personal data shared by us: We do not send your name, email, or game account to Monetag. Monetag may receive standard technical data (such as IP address, browser, and referrer) as part of normal web traffic when you open the link.
- Reward limits: Coin rewards for sponsored visits are limited (currently up to 2 visits per 20-hour period) and tracked locally on your device.
- Opt-out: You can decline advertising cookies in our Cookie Settings, or simply avoid clicking sponsored offer links.
4. Cookie Consent (CookieYes)
We use CookieYes to manage cookie consent and to block non-essential scripts until you choose your preferences. CookieYes may store a consent cookie (e.g. cookieyes-consent) on your device to remember your choices.
You can change your preferences at any time using the cookie settings button on our website.
5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
Cookies are small text files placed on your device. We and our partners use them for:
- Essential Functions: To remember your language settings, game configuration, and cookie consent choices.
- Analytics: To measure anonymous traffic and improve the game (Umami — no tracking cookies).
- Advertising: Third-party ad partners (such as Monetag) may set cookies when you voluntarily visit sponsored links, to measure campaign performance and limit repeat ads.
6. GDPR and EEA User Rights
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):
- The right to access, update, or delete the information we have on you.
- The right to withdraw your consent for personalized ads at any time via our Cookie Settings.
- The right to data portability.
7. CCPA (California Consumer Privacy Act)
For California residents, we comply with the CCPA. We do not "sell" your personal information in the traditional sense, but the use of cookies for personalized ads may be considered a "share" or "sale" under California law. You have the right to opt out via our Cookie Settings or your browser's privacy controls.
8. Children's Privacy
Zombie SOS Survival does not knowingly collect any personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13. If you think that your child provided this kind of information on our website, we strongly encourage you to contact us immediately, and we will do our best to promptly remove such information.
